Ministries & Non-profits:
My awesome church: Riverdale Church, Andover MN
Venture Expeditions: Venture uses adventures like bicycling, running, etc. to raise funds for global humanitarian initiatives. It’s a great way to use your hobbies for something bigger!
Feed My Starving Children: FMSC provides nutritious meals to kids around the world. One of the best parts is that FMSC meals are hand packed by volunteers, so you can jump in and participate in the process whether you have money to give or not.
Kids Against Hunger: Kids Against Hunger is very similar to FMSC. They host mobile packing events at schools, churches, companies, etc. where volunteers can prep meals that are sent to kids in need all over the world.
Compassion International: Compassion gives individuals and families the opportunity to sponsor an individual child, providing him or her with food, shelter, healthcare, and education. Our Compassion kid’s name is Edouard. We enjoy exchanging letters with him, and it’s nice to have a face and a name to pray for!
The Diaper Bank: Diapers aren’t covered by EBT (food stamps) and if you’ve raised a baby, you know they add up! The Diaper Bank is a Minnesota non-profit that collects diapers and distributes them to agencies that can distribute them to families in need.
No Kid Hungry: Share our Strength/No Kid Hungry is a national non-profit aimed at making sure that American kids have the food they need to succeed. Their website’s Hunger Resources page is full of great information.
